obviously pollution! someone dumping chemicals into the water.

they do this off the coast of Africa all the time and that's one of the reasons the pirates are out there.

More birds fell from the sky in LA.   Scientists are baffled, not sure if it was weather related, but they ruled out poison.

Dead fish floated to the surface in Arkansas too.   I guess fish kills are quite common, they just don't typically make headlines.   And of course, there are people running around screaming that the world is ending.
