not really, since sara palin will have her eating ass if she decides to run and won't take her for a running mate.  they are both unwinnable.

All we need is Christine O'Donnell and we can have a three-ring GOP circus with Palin and Bachmann.

Does Palin even want to run at this point? She obviously prefers being a talking head to being a politician.

I have no doubt Palin will run.

I think quitting as governor was a calculated move so she could stay in the national spotlight by doing things like becoming a talking head.

It won't work considering her dismal approval ratings with everyone except the teabaggers, but it is a no-lose situation for her.

The worst that can happen is she can add presidential candidate to her already impressive resume as the Queen of Wasilla and make more money feeding her nonsense to the functionally illiterate.

I could buy that if she wasn't still sulking about all of the nasty things the evil leftist media said about her the last time she ran. She looks a lot happier in the media than she did running for political office.

Bachmann has nothing to lose and something to gain by claiming to be a viable candidate.  Her profile just got more visible.

Unlike the Dems, where appearing to challenge Obama could incur some demerits, the GOPers stand to gain.  I think that the number of unofficial GOP Presidential candidates now is around 20.

She will faux run.

She'll let her loyal supporters who are clamoring for her to run keep right on.  She'll encourage them as much as she can without ever committing to anything.  She'll let that continue right up to the last moment where she would actually have to declare and have a reason why she can't.

She has everything she wants right now.  Paying gigs, the limelight and most importantly no responsibility.  Running for President would completely screw that up.

Sounds about right, sadly.
