I believe it is best to start the New Year not with resolutions but with apologies. I am a big believer in the apology. Especially when it is backed up by action. The action is what is hard to follow through on sometimes but I try. I try to apologize to those I have wronged when I did it but I realize that sometimes, I have not always done so. And sometimes, I did not know that I had hurt someone. So...for those I have hurt and did not know that I had and for those who I did not apologize to but should, here I go. To those I have offended without meaning to: I am sorry. I will promise to be the best me I can be without becoming a mirror that reflects only what you want me to be. To those who I have hurt...through careless words or actions...even without meaning to: I am sorry. I know that I have a tendency to explain my actions with illustrations that serve only to bolster my arguments and not address the fact that I have hurt you and that you have a right to be hurt without your level of hurt matching mine. To those that I did not take more time for when I should have: I am sorry. This one should not occur because most of the people I am involved with understand what my time constraints are and do not impose on them. Therefore, I have little excuse for making them feel as if they were imposing when they contacted me outside of my time constraints. Anyone care to add on...do so. As I said, I have apologized to those most important to me for wrongs I have done but it never hurts to do so again and be able to include those I have not apologized to.

To those of you who have felt ignored: I am sorry. I have been here less and have not been forward in explaining why. Your friendships mean a lot to me and I apologise for my distance.

I don't see the point of such generalised apology. If I step on your foot through MY carelessness, I'll apologise for that particular oversight. If I did it with you walking into my path, I'd suggest checking your eyeglass prescription.

CreativeDominant - nice thread, thanks! I apologize to myself for spending so much time here, especially in the mornings when I should have been practicing yoga. The action is to create discipline around my yoga practice - thanks to F&P for helping me with this! KK

CD...i have found, as a general rule, the one we most need forgiveness from is ourselves. Once we achieve this (and it is generally a very difficult thing to do) we can see clearly that we have not hurt others as much as we fear.
