On another note (i'm only part-way through reading the linked thread in the Ask A Mistress section, so apologies if this has already been raised..), i find it interesting to see that as a female submissive, it would appear that i get far less bullocks in my inbox than female Dominants do. Could this, in part, be attributed to the unfortunate stereotype that Dominant Women are sex-craved maniacs who are just 'gagging' for it? (that pun may or may not have been intended....)
Or could it be.... wait... omg.... no way!!! Could people actually be.... reading profiles??!!!
In any case, how interesting it could be to experiment and compare the results between a Dominant and a submissive female 'fakefile' (ay? aayyyy?? Sorry, it's been a long day, and i have been reduced to these terrible puns). Not that i condone or would ever do such a thing. 
I trimmed this just a bit, since the HNG part of your question was answered. I may have some of this in the other thread, but since not everyone is going to read that for reference, I'll answer it here, too.
I've never had a female submissive profile here, so I can't say one word about the comparison in the amount of mail. There are some folks on the site who have had both. They are in a much better position to answer that and I'd prefer they would address that rather than Me attempting conjecture.
If you've read the other thread, the thirty-five in 24 hours from another person's experiment was different than the seventy plus that I got in eighteen hours when I created a profile to do the same thing back in October. The two major differences that I know of that changed the numbers were 1) the person on the other thread who did this didn't fill out the profile to the extent that I did and 2) I put up a real picture. The picture was a torso shot of Me, clothed, so My breasts were covered, but there was skin showing in the mid section.
No, I don't attribute the difference to folks reading profiles. When we did ours (this was a joint venture for fact finding with Icarys) over a third of the responses were from people specifically outside of the parameters that I had set up in profile text, those being age and location. An additional over ten percent were from male Dominants. The only person who actually addressed what I had written in the profile was a male switch, who sent info on munch groups. I got no emails from women and only one from a couple's profile, which gave Me reason to believe that it wasn't a couple at all.
So, considering that almost half of the folks who sent first contact emails were obviously not the target group, I'm not especially inclined to think folks are reading profiles more.
