Dallas The Sanctuary has been very active for 10 plus years now. Fetish Ball was two nights in 2010

I may be interpreting your question wrong but after having owned and operated in both New Orleans and Seattle I now find myself settled in good old vanilla Salt Lake City. Mmmm, layer upon layer patriarchal religious repression makes for the most explosive encounters yet. Who has time for scenes when there's so much work to be done?

When i think Kink i think Dallas, Texas...The Sanctuary For Lifestyle Arts hosts many Groups one comes to mind...WICKd-DFW. Also they have a great dungeon.

I haven't been to the city Myself, however clip got his start in kink in Dallas and has had nothing but good things to say about it. I'd also tend to believe the number of forum posters who have said the very same things. I've had the opportunity to correspond with a few members of the site who are in the location and all of them have had good reviews of Sanctuary and events in the town.

Le sigh, not Ottawa! especially since there are lots of do-me male politicians and diplomats. But Montreal is quite active, and according to friends, Vancouver has become a hot gay scene with Hollywood traffic.

Personally, I never attended the Exotic Ball in S.F. .... that event became too touristy a long time ago.... but I agree that the SF scene sure ain't what it was. I used to be able to have my pick of dungeons, two or three good parties a month, plus I loved going to Dore Alley. (Folsom got way too big and gross) I enjoyed the leather scene in Seattle.....Philly....Albuquerque....Providence.... DC/Baltimore is not what it once was, so I'm soured on it a bit, but the FemDom scene still thrives. I had an interesting time in Vancouver many years ago.....leather women coming out of the woodwork up there! There was also a very peculiar but friendly leather scene in Tulsa, of all places.... SF will always be my favorite. At least my memory of it will be.

One rule I have is any city except my own. I don't 'do' my own post code. Also I think it might be difficult to relate to distances in the UK as I tend to think of anywhere outside of a one hundred mile radius as being on another planet. Although I have done some stupidly inefficient things distance-wise in the past (like got on a plane) I simply don't have the time any more. The recession means I am simply working too many hoours. Optimum city distance from where I am? London or Bristol or well Portsmouth is ok. But when I think of kink I don't usually think city. I think of a room (with a view?).

Where i am in central NC we have lots going on.. triangle (ral/durham/chapel hill) and triad (greensboro/high point /winston-salem).. lots of munches, parties, FAD we have a public dungeon (La Fortress).. List could go on and on...

I'm really excited after reading this thread. I haven't had a chance to go to any public BDSM places yet in my year with Master, as we are LDR and I'm unable to go by myself right now for personal reasons. But it is likely he will be coming to stay with me for a month or two shortly (kind of a test run of living together), and I'm thrilled to know there's great places to go in Boston, Hartford, and Providence (I live in NE Connecticut). And yes, Salt Lake City (where Master currently lives) is not exactly hopping kink-wise. We did have fun at a Fetish night in the club Area 51 during my last visit to see him, though even 'I' know that was far from a real event. There were only a few people there we thought might actually do more than simply play dress-up on Fetish night. Not that that is a bad thing, but I really do want to get more involved with places a bit more 'hardcore'. I guess that's a good term for it?

That is an understatement. The sanctuary is almost 9000 sq ft. there are over 50 stations. The Sanctuary is open 4 days a week for the diffrent groups. Just going on capacity only that is 600 people per week that can come thru the doors.
