An update on this landmark decision, offered on Huffington Post by Richard Zombeck of Shame the Banks.

Many ripples yet to cross the pond.

That's a bit out there Hunky. You don't play many games do you ? Don't take the threatening pawn with a bishop, occupy that rook with a knight, and take the queen later. Not that I'm all that great at chess, but then I am not playing.

This action is to restore people's "faith" in the judiciary branch. You think that's good ? Good enough to cause "disappearances" ? Hell no, it's all part of the plan. If Mass. didn't do it, eventually some slug would take it to Scalia and his bunch. A court ruling is technically law, and written on paper. Killing the author does not vaporize the paper, nor the ink thereon.

What's next ? I'd say about 20,000 - 50,000 people will win houses free and clear until things change again. Give it about four years give or take. This will go all the way, and either it will change or the banks will comply. That will provide jobs here in the US at first, which will supposedly boost the GDP, so it all looks good. Then the required research and work will be jobbed out ot India most likely, and the good times will again be over.

To steer a people downhill, you steer them uphill periodically. The essential ingredient to this formula is to take them downhill a bit more than uphill every time. Works like a charm, really. I was sad because I had no shoes until I met a Man with no feet. Take it how you want, but my question is who the fuck cut off his feet ? Wasn't me. And what happened to my shoes ? You see if you can step back and be truly objective, you escape the relativity that has been imposed on the commoner. this is essential to understanding what is going on.

Everything is relative. Learn how to use that principle and you can not only move mountains, you can move the entire world.

I would have been shocked if there had been any other outcome.  Basically, the banks' position was that they had screwed up on such a major scale, that they needed to be granted absolution for their crimes in order to continue.  But the legal implications of allowing someone to claim ownership without proper documentation with no proof, is staggering.  Hell, I could claim to own pahunkboy's house and force him out if that were allowed.

The big surprise for me is that Wall Street reacted as though the outcome had been in doubt.
