If you genuinely can't see how those 2 statements don't quite add up then that's your problem I'm afraid.

I'm not in the business of producing "See Spot Run" guides to self-awareness.

TNDommeK -> RE: hello kittens (1/12/2011 1:58:49 PM)

no need for your see spot run explanations

it was a typo. it was supposed to say that I heard from people that I WAS mentioned and wanted to see what they were talking about
but it was nice to meet you and youhave a great day

no need for your see spot run explanations, it was more or less a retorical question.

Adding "it was more or less a retorical [sic] question" to a post, when you clearly didn't get it first time around, doesn't make you look any less silly.

HTH. Have whatever sort of day you can manage.

there is a difference between an assumption and a fact based on your previous replies on this same thread, though [8|]

Anyhow, we are generous here [:)]

Welcome [:)]

I do thank you for your advice. that particular corset was off the rack, as I stated above I wear them everyday, as I do so love them. I have expensive ones and I have off the rack ones. but I am aware of how to cincer them. that particular one, doesnt have steel boning. but I do like it. as far as the name thing, I was told by a few different people that I wasnt meantioned in the forums, having never been on the forums I couldnt imagine why...so I decided to check it out. but instead I get an ass load of rude people who assume I am full of Myself and cant put on mascara(see thread below for that ignorant reply) that is all it was. it was more or less a statement , but again, thank you for not being impolite like most of the people I have met on this thread.

and going back and re reading your post, the leather might have had tme to breath, as I did take some time in between getting ready and taking the pics, so you might be right on that as well.

You're welcome.  One other note on the subject.  Most folks can't do their own with sufficient pull in the waist.  That's where it should be the tightest.  That's a real trick if you can do it yourself and have it be good enough.  Most people just don't have the arm strength for that kind of task behind their own back.

I'd kill off the two shots where the corsets aren't fitting properly and maybe replace them with some shots of you in a different one besides the black or the silver one.  Take the pics before you start playing, so there's no time for the leather to loosen up on you.

The gal who made the corsets in My pics on My profile is based in the Atlanta area.  She vends at all major events and her husband is fantastic at teaching folks the art of corset lacing.  Since you're looking for someone new anyway, that new person will have to learn.  Those are the folks that taught both My husband and My boy.

Unless you have an additional profile or had a screen name change, this thread is the only one that your name is mentioned.  The site doesn't even allow that on the forums and it would have fallen under the site's policy on blacklisting.  If somebody put it up, it would be pulled in a very short time.  I know you don't know Me from Adam, so you'll just have to take My word on the fact that I have an excellent memory for the written word.  I've never seen you mentioned here by anyone.

TNDommeK -> RE: hello kittens (1/12/2011 8:51:42 PM)

well I def dont cinch them Myself, I think for Me that would be impossible, lol. My roomate does it for Me and I do hers....she nearly sqeezes the breath out of Me,lol.

with the name mention, thank you for the heads up..as stated this is My first time on the boards...perhaps the emails I recevied (telling Me about this section of cm) saying I was mentioned was a ploy of some kind.

but luckily I have found the hide button, which has become My new friend,lol..seems you and a few other people are the only ones I am corresponding with. I dont deal with people who cant conduct themselves like human beings so, that button is especially helpful.

does the lady who makes your corsets have a website, Id love to order some new ones

LadyPact -> RE: hello kittens (1/12/2011 9:24:39 PM)

She has a profile on this site, which includes the link to her web page.  Here's one of the old links that she and I are both on.  http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=1810275&key=  When you go to the web page, along with the ones pictured in My profile, I also own the "Leather Pride" and the "Black and White" over the bust corsets.  The purple one that is in My main pic and the red and black "Flames" are from the older lines.

TNDommeK -> RE: hello kittens (1/13/2011 12:25:09 AM)

I love the red and black one. The purple one is similar to a red and black one I have, it only has one buckle in the front. but its nice.

sunshinemiss -> RE: hello kittens (1/13/2011 2:00:03 AM)

Lady Pact, you are absolutely a lady. *smooch*

Good luck in your search, K.

best,
sunshine

I haven't seen you discussed here either but since you mentioned your profile, it certainly does raise some points for discussion.

The average American woman is 5'4", weighs 140 lbs, and wears a size 14 dress.

5'4 and 140 lbs might be entirely possible, but that is nowhere near a size 14 dress size, no way! I'm 5'5 and fluctuate between 110 and 125 lbs that's a UK size 8, a US 4 to 6, so no way that a few pounds more would turn me into a size 14, I would need to gain at least 50 to 60 lbs to be anywhere near a 14.

GreedyTop -> RE: hello kittens (1/13/2011 9:04:51 AM)

I am 5'4" and currently 133 lbs.  size 6

kalikshama -> RE: hello kittens (1/13/2011 9:07:05 AM)

Google FAIL

GreedyTop -> RE: hello kittens (1/13/2011 9:08:45 AM)

what were you googling?

The "ideal" woman--portrayed by models, Miss America, Barbie dolls, and screen actresses--is 5'7", weighs 100 lbs, and wears a size 8.

Are American dress sizes smaller than British ones? Or are they the same?

American dress sizes are not the same, a woman will need to buy smaller sizes in the US, just a different system.

kalikshama -> RE: hello kittens (1/13/2011 10:38:27 AM)

I googled "Average American dress size"

I try to go with reputable sources. While the source I picked likely has an agenda, I am seeing size 14 elsewhere as well, including here:

According to an American Demographics journal article in July 2003:

The average woman is 5'4" tall, weighs 145 lbs. with a dress size of 11 to 14, has a 36-37" bust, is about 29" around the waist and close to 40" around the hips.

Reference: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m4021/is_6_25/ai_105777519

So I am retracting my "Google FAIL" and modifying my original assertion - the average American dress size is 11-14.

A mannequin, on the other hand, averages 6', and is a size 6, with a 34" bust, a 23" waist and 34" at the hips.

TNDommeK -> RE: hello kittens (1/13/2011 1:13:58 PM)

the whole average thing that I posted on My profile was due to being on sites (vanilla or BDSM) and when asking for body type, I would see "Average" once clicking on the profile to see the pic, they were far from average. they were bigger, waaay bigger..I think that is what has been misconstude (sp?) lol

depending on your height, is depending on your weight. just sayin

oh and mannaquins suck,lol

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: hello kittens (1/13/2011 1:29:40 PM)

it's "misconstrued" and mannaquins is "mannequins" from the French language.  Guess what?  I'm completely and fluently bilingual and I can spell.  TAAH DAAH. [;)]

TNDommeK -> RE: hello kittens (1/13/2011 1:34:05 PM)

thank you, I hate mispelling things, lol. Im usually better at spelling, but those two seemed to have gotten Me, ;p
