Soooo...I've been trying, unsuccessfully for weeks now, to program my remote for my garage door opener. The problem is, when I can get the wireless keypad to take the code, the remote won't work. When I can get the remote to work, the keypad won't. I put in brand new batteries for both the keypad and remote and I've started from scratch by clearing out all codes from the opener countless times. HELP! The opener is a Craftsmen brand and both the keypad and remote are Clickmaster. I need them to both work.

Please do a search with Amazon to find the right opener. Make sure it is the SAME exact one.

I've followed countless steps shown in the directions and what I've found online. I refuse to bring in a garage guy and pay for something I should be able to do myself. Plus I don't have the extra cash for that.

Clickmaster is compatible with Craftsmen openers. I can get either one to work with it, but not both at the same time.

Aileen, if you're still having difficulties by Sunday, I'll ask MP about the matter when he gets home from his trip.  He's far better with that kind of stuff than I am.  Just drop Me a note and we'll see what we can do.

It took TWO men to get my garage door opener and outside keypad programmed.  It took well over an hour and it was a frustrating experience.  If you lived closer I would send them over to fix yours.,

Ours stopped working for no reason and it took The Man an hour to get it going again. He still doesn't know why it stopped in the first place. My recollection is that he kept unplugging it and replugging it and entering the codes all over several times until it started working again.

Are your valuables inside then?

One wrong signal and "we" might find out?

I don't think you need the wrong signal to find out the answer to that obvious question.

Yes, hunkboy, 2 construction men, the type that build things like houses, sidewalks, etc.

First off how old is you're garage door opener?  It may be the fact that  the clickemaster will work with Craftsman but if it is before  a certain  model year then it just might not be compatible with it. We have an old Sears  opener the original remotes crapped out and had to get a universal remote set up from Radio Shack it works fine with it and is  sort of a retro fit type thing. Anyways if you didn't get it working hope this helps you  check the exact model of your  opener  with Clickmaster  and  see if it falls with in the years supported by them
Cheers
Jim
