After nearly 5 months of waiting, still no outcome or real answers to why this raid took place. Recap On November 16th Enfield police raided my home and business. We never saw the search warrant or were allowed to leave the living room until they were finished. Over 2 dozen uniformed police, undercover officers, and some state police, were rummaging through my home, packing anything related to bdsm or fetish. Many items were taken that had nothing to do with bdsm, fetish or anything related to a crime. I went to court on Jan 6th but my name was taken off the docket to keep the media away. My attorney Daniel Silver talked to the states attorney and the judge behind closed doors and came to an agreement about my seized items. Later in the following months an evidence officer was assigned to our case. He began to return some of the items from the list,. We got back 3 computers and a camera. Then all of a sudden it stopped. We were told that they wanted us to pay for each file we wanted copied 50 cents for each file and 1 dollar a copy for pictures I have around 90.000 pictures and file cabinets’ full of records that were taken. I already paid for the forensics lab to copy my hard drives for me which cost me over 800 dollars. This does not seem fair and seriously leaves a lot of questions as to whether or not this investigation is being handled correctly. My rights have been violated right from the beginning of this invasion. At this point my attorney says that they are trying to get a warrant for my arrest The charges they want to press are for promoting prostitution It is really unbelievable that they consider bdsm prostitution. The laws need to change to reflect what sexual conduct really is. Right now the laws are vague and not at all understandable. I have a concern with underhanded issues that occurred while officers were in my home. One incident that happened was the fact that during the 5 hr investigation I had to use the bathroom. No woman office was present so a male officer escorted me making lewd comments about how much I charge. This occurred twice as both times I was taken by a male officer. Once I was told that I could not close the bathroom door all the way which was really uncomfortable. One officer said that I should not have been embarrassed because of what I do for work. I’m extremely disturbed by this and want to seek justice in this matter. I was violated by their comments and the way they treated me while in my home.
