Aylee -> Irony (1/20/2011 8:16:49 PM)

Okay, I will admit that I may have missed the thread about this.  I travel some for work and I do miss things.  However:

Has anyone noticed the irony of the 2009 awardee of the Nobel Peace Prize hosting a dinner for the guy imprisoning the awardee of the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize?

And is satisfied that he is "working on human rights violations"?

Is it just me doing a "face-palm"?

DarkSteven -> RE: Irony (1/20/2011 8:19:59 PM)

Aylee, if you get the 2011 prize, it will make the irony even more biting.

pahunkboy -> RE: Irony (1/20/2011 8:22:51 PM)

Aylee, you are supposed to be watching Dancing With the Stars.

Yes, we know that I am a Heartless Bitch.

What have I suggested that is wrong this time?

Excuse me?  Why the hell would I ever do that?

The closest I have ever came is that sing-along-reality-show.  And that was because I was in a bar in the middle of Nebraska.

Aylee -> RE: Irony (1/20/2011 8:30:18 PM)

Seriously, if there is a thread about this I would appreciate being directed to it.

pahunkboy -> RE: Irony (1/20/2011 8:33:11 PM)

I think your assessment is creative.... and correct.

My assessment of what?

About the Nobel Peace Prize  patrol van- publishers clearing house.

luckydawg -> RE: Irony (1/20/2011 8:41:04 PM)

Nope, you didn't miss the thread.

You the first to bring it up.

It could be used to highlight hypocrisy on the left, but why bother. Its like shooting fish in a barrel.

The Nobel is basically meaningless these days anyway.

Right.  They use a prize patrol van.

Have you ever tried shooting fish in a barrel?

It is more difficult than it sounds.

Why is that, do you think?  Yes, I know that will cause thread drift.

Hillwilliam -> RE: Irony (1/20/2011 9:54:29 PM)

Life isnt any fun without an occasional thread hijack.

TheHeretic -> RE: Irony (1/20/2011 10:04:39 PM)

It hadn't occurred to me that way, Aylee, but you are absolutely right. Realpolitik requires such things as this, sometimes, but I hope the President at least gave the guy a mention.

Termyn8or -> RE: Irony (1/21/2011 5:19:24 AM)

FR

I might be left handed but I am always right.

Does that count ?

T^T

What is even more ironic is complaining about it and then going out and your next purchase being a product made in China that country that is holding the this years Nobel Winner....

Moonhead -> RE: Irony (1/21/2011 5:25:00 AM)

Is there anything you can buy in America that wasn't manufactured in China?

Guns.

Moonhead -> RE: Irony (1/21/2011 5:48:52 AM)

A good point, well made.

Did not realize I was complaining.  I thought that I had pointed out it was rather surreal.

Yet, I will thank you for that notification.

But just for your edification, my next purchase will likely be a book.  Made in the USA.

It is that whole "reading" thing that I do.
