Okay, I will admit that I may have missed the thread about this. I travel some for work and I do miss things. However: Has anyone noticed the irony of the 2009 awardee of the Nobel Peace Prize hosting a dinner for the guy imprisoning the awardee of the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize? And is satisfied that he is "working on human rights violations"? Is it just me doing a "face-palm"?

Nope, you didn't miss the thread. You the first to bring it up. It could be used to highlight hypocrisy on the left, but why bother. Its like shooting fish in a barrel. The Nobel is basically meaningless these days anyway.

It hadn't occurred to me that way, Aylee, but you are absolutely right. Realpolitik requires such things as this, sometimes, but I hope the President at least gave the guy a mention.

What is even more ironic is complaining about it and then going out and your next purchase being a product made in China that country that is holding the this years Nobel Winner....

Did not realize I was complaining. I thought that I had pointed out it was rather surreal. Yet, I will thank you for that notification.
