The democrats claim this was not a government take over the healthcare industry, but what do you call it when one person in the federal government is granted 1,968 new powers?

Cuck, while I hold that you are too partisan, I agree with quite a bit.

But you see, the fine for not purchasing health insurance is levied on the 1040 form, which I am not required to file. The tattle law in Ohio, where you report the sales tax you didn't pay on out of state purchases, like on the internet, well I don't have to file. I don't remember axactly what year I filed last on the feds, but I know for sure the last time I filed state was before 1989. NINETEEN EIGHTY NINE.

I also got stopped last Thursday night and despite 12 warrants for my arrest, I am nice and comfy at home now. I haven't posted bail in twenty years. You can beat the game too, but you need some real balls. When you tell them to fuck off, it is not a partisan thing.

Obamacare does not exist for those who know the shit. You think they can put you in jail for not paying the fine for not buying insurance ? I am walking proof to the contrary. The reason shit like this flies is because those with that sense of entitlement want it. If I joined tht crowd my 70 year old Mother would shoot me in the head. My kind has nothing to do with it.

Yeah... the first one pretty much already happens with every single insurance policy: Insurance companies decide which drugs they will or will not cover. Medicare/medicaid are no different and tend to be much stricter in that regard.
If your physician wants something that isn't on the list they need to get a pre-authorization before the insurance co will cover it.
If your physician requests that you have the brand name of something as opposed to the generic, the insurance company requires a formulary exception.

So basically the complain is that it is perfectly allowable for insurance companies to have this sort of power but not for an agency.
That it is perfectly acceptable for us to continue to deal with arbitrary policy that is so exclusionary that it prevents many americans from having access to basic health care, and that oversight is bad.

Ummmm... okay... and yay for distortion and fear-mongering once again.

Yup, like not using cheapo repro parts on your car after a wreck. In 1995 after the house fire the insurance dude said the refuse to pay for plaster and lathing. The olman and I looked at eaach other with one thought "Do we stick it up their ass and take them to court, or just stick it up their ass ? ". Well I think two hundred bucks for a bag of paper plates is fair. Fuck me fuck you, it works both ways. And that is a classic olmanism.

While I have never been a fan of Newt Gingriche it appears that he's right.
And, the number one reason to repeal this mess is that 70% or more of the American People don't want it.
Case closed.

What about the other 1,9963 reasons?  The article only lists five.

Tazzy,

They make it up.

They take the number of people who don't the health care bill  and add it to the number people who are unhappy because it didn't go far enough.

Hence the flaw in the numbers the Republicans keep using.

Most people who believe the bill didn't go far enough aren't interested in going back to the way it was.  Yet the Republicans keep counting them on their side.

Back to the way it was....

Pension plans can, and have, gone bust. Just because someone has insurance through their pension plan doesnt guarentee that insurance.

Students dropped as soon as they hit 18.

Denial of benefits because you disclosed you had a cold 6 years ago and didnt report it.

Surprisingly, many people feel they are truly covered... when the truth is, they are covered until the insurance company decides you arent covered and they can refuse to pay.

If I recall from several polls from different new sources, generally had the same reaction. Most Americans (62-74%) dont like the ACA. But not because it is a waste of funds, or 'socialized medicine'; but because the bill did not go far enough in addressing the problems most Americans are experiencing with their level of care. The grand majority often state, when asked, that the ACA was a good start, and helps the immediate problems. Many would be for a 'goverment option' that gives a baseline, so as no US Citizens 'fall through the cracks and forgotten'.

BTW, there is no such thing as 'Obamacare' on the law books. There is however the Affordable Care Act (ACA) past in the spring of 2010.

Most Americans likewise, hold the impression that Republicans would not improve conditions with the health care debate, but rather, make it much worst. Their followers likewise, really do not used facts in making their case or arguement. But rather, employ fantasy and scare tactics, to create something out of nothing, to get people to side with them. Why should we repeal health care, which now makes it easier for Americans to gain health care benefits, without being at the mercy of the insurance companies? Small Businesses want more health care reform, not less, as they are most at risk for illness/injury.

1,968 reasons to repeal? How about 30,000,000+ who now can get decent health care, with pre-existing conditions? If its numbers is your sole reasoning, which is higher: 1968 or 30 million?

it's the libtard democrat way. "you have to pass the bill to find out what's in it." Out of pelosi's own botox lips. Why anybody would support them after that is beyond me. That's why I don't waste much energy arguing with libtards. They should just keep running their mouths and we should just publicize it every time they do. 2012 shall be glorious!
