Okay, so i'm about to go get ready for my first ever real-life local-scene party!!!!!! squeal!! Oh man i am so excited. Nervous as all hell, but excited. It's a public event (so nothing too naughty can happen due to those annoying Legal Guys), being held at the local Gay Pub, and it's "Back To School" themed. i have my stockings and super-short schoolgirl skirt and skanky blouse all ready to go and i am SO FRICKEN EXCITED!!!! [sm=yahoo.gif] So, what are your memories of your very first real-life local-scene event? Was it a munch? A party? An all-out "Private Affair"? Were you nervous? Excited? Did you go alone? With friends? With your S/significant O/other? Was it as scary as you thought it would be? Please share! If i were a puppy, i would so wet myself with excitement right now. [sm=insane.gif]

Congratulations ! i know Y/you will have a ball. The first play party i attended was awesome. Being the new submissive i think i was played with by almost every Domme there and had a great night to remember. Of course i was nervous before the event...thinking all sort of "what if???" thoughts but it proved to be a very fun, safe and caring evening that left me so happily bruised in my nether region. YAY! You'll have a blast! :D My first event was SWAMP (the SouthWest Alternative Market & Party), which was a five minute walk from where I was living at the time, in a lapdancing bar (apparently lapdancing is not profitable on a Sunday). I got there, went upstairs to do my makeup, and met the most fantastically warm and welcoming schoolgirl TV in the toilets doing hers - she introduced me around to, like, everyone, which meant I had an amazing afternoon. Plus I met LilleyoftheValley, who used to post here - she was lots of fun too! :D

LRS, a munch is not a play party... my first munch was a long time ago. I went alone and it took a little time to get to know folks. It was cool meeting in person people I had chatted with on alt, and those whose profiles I had read. I had a great time and began to integrate myself with the local community.

Don't wet yourself! You'll ruin that nice outfit! [:D] My first event was the Exotic Erotic ball. It was at a local Goth club, close to my home, so I decided it'd be fun to go. It was semi private- limited number of ticket sales, and I don't even remember now exactly who was sponsoring it. I went by myself, ( no SO) and was really surprised at how many people were there. I remember that I was wondering what to wear, I didn't have any real "Dommely" gear at that time so I just punked out in a black leather miniskirt and sleeveless black velvet turtleneck, 60's retro boots (my homage to Emma Peel) and some long black opera gloves. Pretty much the same stuff I'd wear onstage when my band played. I met some really great people, and a sweet submissive gentleman who was also new to things as well. We sort of paired off for the event, and a good time was had by all. I also saw several local people who's presence at the event sure surprised me. One of them was a die hard fan of my band, this guy came to a lot of our shows. He was the last person I'd have ever expected to see there! And he made sure he never missed another show the band played after that! We never talked about it, but we grinned at each other a lot. So I had a great time, and got to see an old friend in a new light. A very positive experience. You'll have fun, I just know it!

My first play party was at Shillibeers, just off the Caledonian Road. I went with a friend. Had a great night and became hooked on nights out like this for a long time after. My first munch was in Guildford and I think only about 4 people turned up!

My first munch was a downer. I hope yours will go much better. At mine, everyone was a 'couple' and I just came to find like-minded people. Instead, I found people who thought that because a male was there alone, he had to be shopping. Hell, I was so new at the time I didn't have it all squared away in my own mind, much less be able to find someone that would 'fit' my ideal. I went looking for friends and input and help with the decisions I had yet to make, instead, I was ostracized and made to feel unwelcomed. I never went back, even after they mailed me an invitation. I've since gone to some that helped and found a domme there that helped with me figuring me out. I also met a couple that was a dom/sub couple that were a bit further on than I wanted, but were good folks just the same and quite helpful. Where I live now, the closest munch I know of is about a 3 hour drive away. So, not to many munches. Good luck with yours and best of luck!
