Status: offline 		I never did like pepsi even before i switched to diet, but now that i am on diet for both, pepsi is too sweet for me.  Coke all the way and yes i even took the test to see if i can tell the difference.

Status: offline 		We also are a house divided. Diet Pepsi for the wife, Coke for me. It actually works out pretty well, because neither of us ever drinks the other's last soda.

Status: offline 		I prefer Diet Pepsi, but due to cost I tend to drink Diet Shasta Cola instead (less than half the cost).


Just some interesting side info (at least I thought it was interesting):

In grade school many, many years ago (fifth grade if I remember right) the fifth grade class the previous year did an experiment.  They brought empty plastic pill bottles of equal size to class, filled each one with a different type of soda, then put a 6d box nail into each one.  The following year my class got to see the results.  The nails in each bottle had corroded different amounts.  The nail in the Coke sample was nearly eaten away.  The nail with the least damage and still looking nearly new was Root Beer.  Here are the results, worst to best:

1. (worst) Coke
2. Pepsi
3. RC Cola
4. 7 Up
5. Root Beer (not sure of the brand)

Other brands like Grape Nehi weren't tested.
