But was it the long form?

No, it was an arizona issued "Certificate of live birth" which seemed to satisfy them that I was born in the United States, considering it stated where and when I was born, as does EVERY FUCKING SHORT FORM, they do not issue a birth certificate or certificate of live birth in a state unless the child is born there, which is why this whole fucking conspiracy is bullshit.

Are you eligible to run for president?

jlf1961 -> RE: HI Official Now Swears - No Obama Birth Certificate Hawaii Gov Admits Birth Certificate Does Not E (1/27/2011 8:32:10 PM)

Yes, if I wanted the job, but I doubt anyone would want me to be the president.

For one thing, I would cap spending on government salaries, INCLUDING congress, then get a bill passed to fund the rebuilding of the infrastructure of the United States, which at current estimates would cost 400 billion over the next ten years, but it would create a shit load of new jobs, directly and indirectly.

Then I would raise taxes on everyone making over $500,000. Close the loopholes in corporate taxes, make tax breaks available to companies creating jobs in the united states.

Finally, I would get some sensible gun control legislation passed. First every firearm imported of manufactured in the US would be fired so a full ballistic mark record is in a database that would allow any weapon to be traced to either the owner or show up as stolen, make it so if you REALLY want to own a fully automatic weapon, you pay $1500 every four years for a federal permit, and last but not least, pass federal mandatory minimums for anyone using a gun in the committing a crime, such as 15 years in prison for a first offense, and going up 10 years for each offense following that.

And I am a democrat.

Actually, none of those things fall under the auspices of the office of the President.

I should say, would push for those things.

If I were prez, I would reform the monetary system,  and void corporate personhood.

I'd like to see the salaries go up to be commensurate with CEO salaries, and to see citizens voting for them based on the candidate's ideas and experience. Let's lure some of the good administrators away from the private sector. Maybe then we could afford to pay for that infrastructure.

What do you have against someone doing well? Let's be completely fair and go with a flat percentage of income across the board, individual and corporate, and cut ALL loopholes. No tax breaks for anyone.

LMAO! What other tools are you against because they're too effective? Electric drills? Backhoes? You can drill a lock or go grave-robbing with those, you know. It's not the tool used that needs to be addressed, but the crime it's used for.

No surprise. You were right about one thing - I wouldn't vote for you in a million years with those philosophies.

Way to turn this to a gun control debate. The whole "other tools are used to commit crimes" is completely specious. Guns are tools designed to kill (aside from exotic target firearms). Drills are not made for the express purpose of breaking and entering and backhoes are not made for the express purpose of grave-robbing. Guns are made to kill, and that places them in a whole different tool category from drills and backhoes. No one ever died from having his grandma's grave robbed.
