Hi all,

Looking at my last two relationships, I realised that I got a lot of satisfaction from the dominant elements. Now I find myself looking for a serious relationship, but not sure what to do about my desire to give frequent spankings! Rather than see if my partner is interested after weeks or months, I figured I should start looking in a place where kink can reasonably be presumed :-)

I have tried to give an idea of what I'm looking for in my profile text - feedback would be appreciated. Are there obvious things I have missed out? Am I over-sharing?

Thanks :-)

Welcome to the forums RollingOn.
I perved coz ya asked... your profile is fine apart from that first paragraph... not that it isn't good, just that some people might only get that far and then stop, missing the rest of the profile. There is no reason why you can't be funny, but maybe put it in the profile midway through. The only negative thing to me is the whole 'under 32' age thing - kinda restrictive. But then, I'm 40 so maybe I'm just bitter...

I'd recommend using the forums too and don't just rely on the profile if you have the time to spend the occasional bit of time here.

Have fun!

Thank you for the feedback - you are probably right about the structure!

I think your profile works as is. If you were local and didn't have the under 32 requirement, I would have contacted you/written back.

Best get yourself to some TNG groups post haste before you become too old for them.

Welcome.

KK

ps - do add some pictures. They are easy to anonymize.

In the UK... TNG groups are rare - unlike the states. But there is one in London... that's the only one that comes to mind though.

The Next Generation.  Usually for ages 18-35.  (Age limits may vary due to location.)

Welcome to the forums.

The Next Generation - U35's, basically. In the US they are uber-organised and have U35-only events and workshops and stuff, but in the UK it's basically just munches. If you're around on Wednesday I'd suggest you hit the kinky drinks in Soho:

I might bump into you there!

KK - when you talk about anonymising pictures, do you mean altering pictures to remove faces, removing metadata, or something else? The only photos I have handy have been used in a few different places - www.tineye.com doesn't know about them yet, but I figure it will eventually!

I was thinking along the lines of your coworkers not being able to recognize you. In her profile, VaguelyCurious, a few posts above, has a good example of a nice picture that is anonymous.

urbandictionary.com is usually pretty good but missed the BDSM angle of TNG.

You must have a digi cam, or chances are your computer has a webcam, do a few shots with it, as an example you could wear a hat that hides your face by throwing a shadow, depending on hair, a profile where your hair hide part of your face, light and shadow... Plenty of ways to get creative, you could even pixelate it....

Your profile looks fine but why can she only be up to 2 years younger than you? Is something going to implode if she's the same age as you, or heaven forbid a week or two older? Not criticizing, it's your call but it just seems a bit odd why you would draw the line at "maximum age 2 years younger", just seems like you are narrowing down a small pool by adding more obstacles. Just a thought...

I don't think the metadata matters here (might be wrong - not techie enough) but I think she means taking out your face or pixelating/blurring in case you don't wish your face to be instantly recognisable. There are lots of arty/photo programmes that can do that.

No you aren't - IndelibleMarker who runs the saturday one is pretty clear that the age thing is a guide, not a limit - it's more to do with whether or not people are comfortable with the atmosphere of the munch. He calls it the 'Ubiquitous35' to show that, although I can never bring myself to say that with a straight face...

I was just teasing VC...
We really should jump along there... but the midweek thang makes it less easy for us because of travel and we have been mega busy on weekends. Fortunately one has just started locally... but we missed the first one (that's what we get for not being visiting IC in what seems forever) but are planning to make next months. yay!
