Master's words to her one day were those above and now she is working hard on her novel, editing, re-editing-re-re-editing and so forth to get it in shape to be published.

some of Y/you who come to the boards also know this slave from a few yahoo groups or irc, even just finding her online on yahoo messenger and know what she's like when it comes to posting her opinions, views and thoughts on something that piques her interest.

writing a novel is hard work, is not for everyone and this one would like to post the first five pages of her work, and depending on the feed back she may post a bit more of it to get more feedback so she can work on it as need be to get it published.

this slave hopes that this information helps those of Y/you looking to get a book published...if she can be of more help editing, or proof reading a story please feel free to contact her on yahoo and she will do her best to help Y/you. :D

Hi, I have being working on a book for a year now and would love to get it publish; however, I don't know how to go about it. It is a love story about a woman in Nova Scota. I would appreciate your assistance. One company was me to self publish it. They are asking $700.00 US which is $1000.00Canadian. I am disable and don't have that kind of money. There must ba another way?

I am a published erotica author myself, and thought I would pop in here just to give a heads up...

Any company asking you to pay to publish your work is *highly* suspect. There are people that do self-publishing, although unless you're independently wealthy (remember, you'll have to market that book too!) I would not recommend it.

There is a site I go to regularly that posts calls for submissions for erotica authors. Some of the publishers accept stories of the bdsm/lifestyle nature (actually many of them do). Go to www.erotica-readers.com It's a free service and it's what got me started 'in print' :)

Hope it helps, and good luck to you both!

Regards,

Chelle

I was just speaking with someone who told me about this self publishing company http://www.trafford.com/ . He said a friend of his self published her work there (twice), and was just recently picked up by Llewellyn. Trafford actually does the marketing for you (amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc). Regarding the cost, I believe he said it is about $1000 U.S. While this is a lot of money, I don't think it is too much to invest in something one believes in. It may require talking to people, working a little harder, cutting some corners, and scrimping/saving a little more, but in the end it depends on how important it is, to the individual, to get out there.
