I recently finnished watching Kenneth Clark 's "Civilization" for the first and second time (I enjoyed it so much I had to watch it over again right away). It is a fantastic series, very educational (it's like having your own personal Oxford Professor) and entertaining. I heartily recomended it for everyone.
I particularly like his "stick in the mud" speech at the end. I am hard pressed to find anything in it that I disagree with and, looking back from forty years, find it to be prophetic.
