I like meeting people quickly but I do like to know a bit about them first. You might need to spend a little time letting someone know what you're like before they want to have coffee or whatever.

I'll second both the suggestion you release your cap lock and the suggestion you attend the munch.  While Libby and I rarely get that far north, I know that the Orlando munch has some great people who can show you a lot about this brave new world.

There are behaviors unique to the BDSM world, you can't go far wrong in behaving in the manner that your mother taught you was appropriate.  Now, think, would you walk into a room with a group of strangers and introduce yourself in this manner?

Wow, I guess for you a lot of people must not be real because they don't want to meet a perfect stranger who can't find the caps lock...

Do you have female relatives or friends? Would you think it's a good idea for them to meet strangers from the net right away?
