ORIGINAL: Vendaval Greetings A/all, The post on martial arts brought another query to My mind. How many of the folks on here also participate in some form of extreme sports, such as: motocross, bungee jumping, or rock climbing? Or have an occupation that involves high-risk behavior, such as: firefighting, search and rescue or special military ops? And do Y/you fall on the masochistic or sadistic side? Are Y/you a Dom/me, switch or sub/slave? Curious as always, -Vendaval- URL=http://server6.theimagehosting.com/image.php?img=throwngo.JPG] I live a couple of thousand feet from the banks of one most technical class five rivers in Oregon. On any given day, I can find five or six guys who would gladly try out skydiving to every one who would attempt to enter one of this hair-ball, high gradient rivers. While falling controlled out of the sky is like nothing you've ever imagined, I've found that a super intense river offers a more ''sustained high'' and continual grasp in the unknown. Besides the challenge, I think the allure/ fascination with any extreme sport is that it’s so ''intense'' it just takes you away from everything else. The focus and concentration needed to truly apply thy self and perform, leaves little room to day-dream or think about other things. I know guys who play golf and tell me the same thing-- they're in a zone -- but for me, it’s too slow and just not intense enough. And yes I see some correlation to kink - Risky behavior! Edit - guess my picture didn't come through! - R
