I don't have an issue with this. But then we view facebook is a really useful networking tool, rather than just pals. If I like something, I would want people to be able to share in it in case they like it. I'd much rather have ads paying the bills for facebook, than me (I'm cheap like that

) and wouldn't use it if I had to pay a subscription.

I can see why that might annoy some people... but like I said, we see it as a networking facillity rather than a friend list. That's what Friendsreunited and Chat programmes like MSN or things like blogs or email are for but Facebook, Myspace, Linkdin and Twitter are networking sites.

If I read the article correctly, it just means if you click "Like" on a product, that product's ad will show on your friends lists with "GreedyTop likes this product" or if you post on the product's page, they'll take your post and quote it...then again, it is their page you're posting on.

I've seen these ads on my page and they're really no biggy. "Ken likes Kellogg's" Um, ok, rock on, Ken. It's in an out of the way, small box to the side of your screen. It appears to have the intention of inviting you to their page, to see if you like them, too.

Doesn't bug me at all. If I don't want my words quoted, I don't post on their page or "Like" their product. The whole point of "Liking" the product page is to promote it anyway, so....no biggy to me

Was fast reply, just in case.........

I am not a huge fan of Facebook to be honest. I have it, most of what it is used for is keeping in touch with family and that's about it. I think I have something around 36 contacts on there. I've got some contacts that are children, niece and nephew types and I am VERY protective of family, especially kids, and what they are exposed to.I did create an account for my photography, a while back, which I really need to expand and use more. That would be a better 'public access' account than the family joined one.

I just went and "unliked" all the product pages I had (all 3 of them), problem sorted
