Actually, i take my bio-mom out every year.  It's the one day i don't devote to my partners. Thanks for reminding me, i have to make a plan, stat!

NocturnalStalker -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 4:23:12 AM)

I plan to be scammed of my money for a kiss on the cheek, why of course. It's okay, when I one day rule the world all will change...

Lucylastic -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 4:49:20 AM)

Between jan 22nd and mar 10th I have eight important birthdays and  one anniversary , my youngest's is on the 13th, hubbys birthday is valentines and the 15th is my step daughters, I just dont do Vday anymore.I dislike this time of year it is horrendously expensive and time consuming.
However...If I had my way? a glass of wine, my favourite chinese meal and a action horror movie (im so not a chick flick person)while snugglin:)
If he wants to romance me, he buys me freesias:) my favourites

Aynne88 -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 6:16:58 AM)

Well Miss Tazzy, I guess I will ante up my romantic plans since we don't have any other romantics here. [;)]. Kidding of course, I believe that romance should be as often as possible too, but come on, indulge a bit. I admit, I am a sucker for the trappings of roses, romance and the big VDay. Call me a sucker, but I like being wooed.

We are going to our favorite little french bistro for dinner, with a show afterward at the Rockport Opera House, not sure who that is, he bought the tickets, but I am sure it will be wonderful. As far as exchanging presents, I don't know yet what I am going to do for him, I will keep you posted, probably something involving golf. Which is my main competition. [;)].

http://www.francinebistro.com/        ***By the way this place is amazing! The menu changes every day and the owner has received accolades from all over. I love small funky eclectic places. Yum.

In keeping with the general tone of the other respondents, I plan to kick some puppies on Valentine's Day.  [8D]

So, its Jan 31... 236 am... and I'm curious.. and somewhat bored... and I have to work on Feb 14th, so does Master.

So, allow me to live vicariously through you...

What are you planning for that day?

Well, I checked my calender.  It appears that I will be in Missouri (pretty much in the middle) beginning a de-install on a Legacy room.  IIRC this one is also going to the Alabama/Georgia area to be re-installed at a later date, which is not yet on my calender.  Since the town I will be in looks to be barely over 10,000 I am doubting that there will be anything particularly special for dinner that night.

Ah well.

Likely I will just pick a different day on the calender when I will actually be home a celebrate then.

I will cook something special and will either rent or buy a movie and we will all cuddle on the couch eating popcorn OR going for ice-cream if it ends up that we don't celebrate until March.

Being an adult, I can arbitrarily pick a different day to celebrate a Holiday on and no one can tell me, "NO!"  It is a beautiful thing.  I can also choose not to celebrate without feeling the need to justify it by disparaging others who do choose to celebrate.

flcouple2009 -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 8:35:47 AM)

The same as every other day.  What goes on depends on when all of the children get to sleep.

The soon to be 10 month old firmly believes the world should revolve around his wishes,  [:)].

sexyred1 -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 8:42:30 AM)

After having been proposed to one Valentine's Day many years ago and subsequently divorcing said fellow, V-day means nothing to me.

I do however, support pampering myself which I try to do every day, at least a little bit.

The much more important date in February is next Friday, my birthday. :)

(hint hint if anyone wants to start a happy b-day sexyred thread on the 4th, cheap attention whore that I am)

The same thing as any other M-F day. Get up at 5ish, take care of animals, hair and makeup, off to work at 7......work all day......gym, home, repeat animal care.....

Same stuff, different day.

Valetine's day is right up there with Halloween, Easter, etc etc..... not on my list of things 'to do'.

Marc2b -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 11:22:08 AM)

I plan on bring home some wine, chocolate and flowers. Then i'm going to make my naked slave kiss my feet while I drink the wine, eat the chocolate and enjoy the flowers.

Alright, alright... I might let her have a piece of chocolate... if she begs prettily enough.

DesFIP -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 1:04:32 PM)

Judging by how this winter has gone, we'll spend it shoveling.

mummyman321 -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 7:56:22 PM)

I think an Ice Sculpture is in order for Valintines days. Its fitting given the winter we have had and an ice carving is something different and unique for a change. Add a bottle of wine, a nice warm fire will be a good start to the evening.

Hillwilliam -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 8:31:40 PM)

Working that day. Ain't self-employment wunnerful?

CherryNeko -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (2/1/2011 2:04:48 AM)

Okay, *kisses you in the cheek*

TotallyDude -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (2/1/2011 3:14:04 AM)

I am making dinner for an extremely-close-though-non-exclusive-friend of mine. Then we are going to drink jalapeno martinis and watch Say Anything.

We own our own business too, but I am pretty sure everyone is working, I generally associate Valentine's Day with going out at night, not an actual day off. I don't like it that much. [;)].

Same here, but it will be one of those days when our business takes a back seat.  We have plans already to be in Nashville that weekend for some fun, but because we'll already be up that way, we'll spend a couple of days working on Firm's house in Kentucky.

As we'll be on the road back to Georgia on Valentine's evening itself, maybe Sunday evening will be a better choice for celebrating.  I'm thinking something along the lines of a romantic picnic in the middle of an empty house with lots of candles and a nice chilled bottle of Muscato d'Asti...  [:)]

Darktra151 -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (2/2/2011 6:41:22 AM)

I have a few options that I am considering. 1) Giving Subby some play time 2) Going on a date 3) Going out with friends ..... I have no idea.
