Hi there,

Just thought I would put a little hello in here and ask a question...

Is this site ONLY for people looking to date others? I have only been a member for 20 minutes and I am already getting kind of 'unfriendly' messages in my emails as I am only looking for friends.
I hope its not the case, because this place looks great so far and I was hoping that it would be somewhere to come and enjoy meeting people and learning more about myself.

I am a Daddy's girl and while that is not all I am, it's a big part of me, big enough to make me want to be better and do better for him and myself.
Anyways, have a great day everyone, I look forward to crossing paths with you all!

Don't worry about. It's just because you are new. Every new profile gets it. Well every new female profile at least. Don't take it too seriously and it will calm down. Meanwhile enjoy the forums

allnewtome is right. I've looked through the old posts before I committed and you will find a great deal of diversity here. You can involve yourself as much or as little as you want and should anyone tell you it's wrong, they will get bitten *CHOMP*. This community really supports the freedom of others to explore as they please which can be both a blessing and a curse at times but still, it's nice to have a place to feel welcome.

It will calm down after a while. New blood means new opportunities for those who are desperate. It's a phase many of us go through myself not being the exception. For now simply accept it, let it come and gently push it all aside and only focus on why you are here and explore the things you find of interest.

I hope you find the friends you seek. Best wishes and good luck.

Hi fallenover - welcome!

Don't worry about the fuckwitmail...I recently changed my status here after several years now that I have found someone, and I'm getting those messages too.

If you want to irritate the moron who sent it, hover over the message without clicking on it to get the general gist of the message. If it's some sad, desperate loser who can't stand someone else being happy and wanting friends, then delete it without opening it. This shows up on their side as 'message deleted unread'.

Either they'll get the hint and sod off to bother someone else, or they'll send another. You could block them, but I find not blocking them and repeatedly doing the 'deleted unread' is a wonderful game

Thank you for the welcome everyone and for your advice, I am taking it all on board.

myotherself..I am putting your idea it to the test already and its made me chuckle, even though I feel a bit bad for it!
Its very nice to have somewhere to feel welcome and silly messages wont stop me enjoying my time here.

Welcome Fallen. Just ignore the twatwaffle cmails on the other side, there are indeed some great people on this side to get to know and become close friends with. I've made my share and am thankful I've been so blessed.

Please don't worry about how other people interpret this site, they're entitled to their version just as you are entitled to yours. I've been here on and off, looking and not looking, I use the site according to what I want at the time

As long as I don't mislead someone I figure I'm good to go.

There are plenty of people around that seem to think that their version of whatever is the only version in town but pffffttt, it just cracks me up that they were somehow designated Grandhigh Poobah of Life and no one else was ever aware of it.
There is one Dom in particular on CM who rants in the journal section every so often about how if you're part of a couple you have to have a couple profile - so he doesn't waste his time clicking on your profile ONLY TO FIND that you won't suit his needs.

whatever. Guy needs to chill out.
