I am a refugee from Bondage.com and chat rooms in general. Chat rooms bore me to death and "online role play" is especially mind numbing for me. Many years ago, when I was first discovering myself as a Dom it was fine. And actually I could enjoy it still now and and then -- except I have found that for many online online role play is IT, meaning it leads to nowheresville.

I am SO ready for a new sub in my life.

I had the pleasure and honor of having a collared sub - outside my marriage -- for many many years. That was quite a journey, discovering myself as a Dom. I learned to love that in myself which I had denied for so long. A good thing!

I'm still married, though separated, and it's been too too long since I had a sub to love and hold and train.

It's a little tough to know what to make of this place. The community, such as it is, seems active and more vibrant than at bondage.com. But then again, suspicion rules and I find that it is difficult establishing a meaningful correspondence with anyone, which is frustrating but par for the course.

Posting here seems like a better way to dive into the pool...

Well, hi there, and welcome!

You might want to tell us what you're looking for in a relationship... is it the process of initiating someone new, or is it a mature dom/sub relationship you're looking for?

You know, I am open to either "a mature Dom/sub relationship" or initiating someone new. Either would be a delight with the right sub. That said, I would love the honor of introducing someone to BDSM because that is such a precious and potentially life-changing experience and I'm a very good teacher....

Okay what else?  What do you want people to know about you?  What is a typical weekday like?  A weekend?  A vacation? What is life like with you?

*chokes* Damnit, Cali, beer through the nose hurts, ya know! [8D]

Seriously, OP, Cali is right. Telling folks a bit more about you is helpful for finding a compatible person.

Welcome from another Bcom denizen.

kalikshama -> RE: Diving Into The Pool (2/5/2011 2:55:45 PM)

I think you should change this:

"I’m a married Dom, recently separated, looking for a curious submissive to love and train."

To this:

"I'm a Dom looking for a curious submissive to love and train. I'm recently separated, although still married, and expect to be divorced in XXX months."

The way it's currently written overly and unnecessarily emphasizes your marital status.

Welcome!
