ah the remote well in our case master gives me the responsibility as he never knows which button does what not that we watch tv much only once a week or so.

To the OP, though... Whoever says, "We will do THIS." is the Dominant one. Whoever says, "Yes, Sir!" is the submissive one. If that cannot be resolved, then just play and have fun. Feeling good in what you are doing is the only reason for doing it! ["Be careful!" is a necessity, not a reason!]

One more thing, Sometimes beginners get confused and misunderstand everything that is going on. You can be Dominant (Do this!) You can be Submissive (yes sir/ma'am) You can be a Switch (like it both ways) You can be a Sadist, which may or may not be dominant - or even submissive (Is it OK if I flog you till you bleed?) You can be a Masochist, which may or may not be submissive - or even dominant. (Don't you dare stop before I bleed!) Life is not simple. Don't limit what you do. Try things and figure out if you like control or being controlled, taking pain or giving it. There are quite a few combinations that people don't automatically think of.
