okay, so sensory deprivation is pretty self-explainitory, but how exactly does sensory overload work?

The brain evolved in a simpler time, when thier where fewer and slower sensory inputs at any given time. You maybe heard of Sensory Overload being the cause of a traffic accident... A car going toofast, with a distracted driver, trying to decipher strange road signs hits a car or something... When the brain gets over worked, it eventually goes into a meltdown mode and shutsdown for a while...

In the lifestyle "sensory overload" is an intentional manipulation of a submissives nerves/senses/etc to the point of usually (at least in my experience) putting them in a space wherein they are unable to form a coherent thought or word. But I'm sadistically evil, and sensory overload is one of my favorite things to do. evil laughter Call it a wonderful out of mind experience... [;)] How it works is another thing to explain, lets just say that when the body's senses are overwhelmed and all those happy subspacy feelings, endorphins and adrenaline kick in, they take over. LG~

Depends on the submissive. What pushes his buttons and sends him off. I am not going to feed the trolling however and describe any number of the techniques that may be employed to do so. I will simply say a combination of pleasure and pain simultaneously delivered usually works for me. ~LG

What appears to be a simple question to you, isn't one, it's considered leading and trolling for wank material by many. Myself most assuredly included. Now you're going to tell me that you don't care to hear the details? ~LG

Sensory over load is a personal issue and really involves knowing the subject first. I notice that sometimes music in the back ground can create a mood which can be used againest or with the submissives benefit.Also , I notice that mirrors that allow a sub to really see themselves in their postion canbe very over welming since most playing doesn't include visual stimulation as often. These by itself will mean nothing unless there is a connection ....they are mere props at best

Haha, if I wanted 'wank material' I could do a whole lot better than text on a message board. I asked because I was genuinly curious. I had never heard of sensory overload, and am unfamiliar with it, so I figured I could ask, but appearantly the whole domme 'im better than you' attitude fits in to all aspects of life for some people...

edwyn, It has nothing to do with an "I am better than you attitude". That you jumped to that conclusion only shows your level of maturity. But then again I don't expect someone your age to understand that some submissives will do anything to get and keep a Domme's attention. Especially the young ones with profiles that read like this, "I'm looking to break into the scene and get some experience." Odds are better when a submissive shows a tad more interest in his search for knowledge than a one liner of text. And breaking into the scene? Hmm... try a local munch group. Your question was already answered by another here, aren't you happy with that? You may want to try a Google search on the various techniques she mentioned.
