The Veterans Campaign teaches veterans how to run for federal, state or local office. The group has no political or ideological agenda. The next Veterans Campaign workshop is slated for February 11 and 12 at George Washington University. It will include discussions about how veterans fared during the recent elections, with several Congress members with military service sharing their own experiences. For more information, visit the Veterans Campaign website.

I know that the colleges and universities provide classes in political science, but this concept is interesting since it appears to take over for those that don't go to college, or take the political sciences route.   I think it would also be great if it were expanded beyond just veterans.

Some of us should go and become politicans in the real world.

The better, and harder, way is getting involved in government without turning into a politician.

I'd vote for a veteran running for office if I liked his viewpoints over some punk kid with a "degree" in Poly Sci anyday!
Hell, I wish the Gunny R. Lee Ermy would run for president!

Popeye   you know that R Lee Ermy is a staff sargeant not a Gunny.   lol  That is an honary rank given to him by the Commandant of the Marine Corps because of his support to the service.   His pay is as an E6 not E7.   lol
