Hello A/all,

Roger, I fear that this situation may not be recoverable. She is caught up in her feelings for the idea (and ideal) of you. I cannot help but feel empathy for her, I got caught up in such a thing once myself.

This venue has a certain anonymity to it that, I believe, we mistake for safety. Consequently it's easy to express things that you'd NEVER share with a stranger (or most friends). Online chat, e-mails and even phone conversations are not a substitute for an in-person meeting. Untill you meet, you are strangers... Period....

It is also easy to idealize somebody this way. I believe that that is what happened here. If you want more than ones and zeros, I would recommend that you meet somebody early in an online relationship.

Respectfully,
Mike

Here's the question, don't You think this is a little fast?

[:D] I have waited ... at least three months of online contact only ... before I said no!

Undoubtedly a clear advice with an impecable rationalization to explain the nature of the situation and its risks. Best answer, as it would be chosen in Yahoo!answers itself
