siamsa24 -> Cartier Love Bracelet (5/3/2006 6:51:02 PM)

I have recently fallen in love with a piece of jewelry and I want it very bad.  Mind you, this is coming from a girl who doesn't even wear earrings.  I recently saw a large picture of the Cartier Love Bracelet in Time magazine and I adore it.  There is only one small problem with this new found love, however.  It is crazy-expensive.
Does anyone know of a place where I could get somthing similar? I looked at the bracelets that eternity collars has and they are a bit harsh.  I am looking for something a little more preppy looking I guess.
I know there has to be something, but I don't know what terms to search under or what sites to start at.

Edited to fix my yucky little typing/spelling error

You mean Cartier?  Try ebay.

Whoops, pardon my typing, I am trying to type in the dark (I know, I know, bad for the eyes......)

I looked on ebay, still over $1000 and that's more then I make in almost a month so that's kind of out.

My Google-fu didn't help me find a copy of the bracelet but I did find a replica of the ring in the same series:

I am with you on that one.  Saw it in an issue of Elle some unknown person decided to buy us a six month subscription... not all the kind of magazine anyone here would read but what ever.)  I absolutely love it and its not even the kind of thing I would wear.

I know, it's the same thing with me.  It's unique, yet simple, elegant and eye-catching, yet still understated.  I just love it.
I think that I have worn jewelry about once in the past month, and I have never really worn a bracelet (they tend to slip off my wrists and get lost), yet I love this piece.

That is almost exactly what I am looking for, thanks for the link!

do it the old fashioned way...get a 2nd job

siamsa24 -> RE: Cartier Love Bracelet (5/3/2006 8:28:16 PM)

Have one, looking for a third that will fit in to the schedules.

I know that not everyone is in as much debt as I am, but believe me when I say that much of my pay will be going to the federal government for about the next 15 to 20 years (gotta love it, encourage students to go to college and then raise tuition to the point where they can't afford it, then demand the loans be repayed while said student is trying to go to school part-time and work one or more full-time jobs in order to earn that ever important slip of paper).  Let's just say that it will be a very long time before I could ever afford the real thing (if ever)

You are officially awesome mbmbn [:D]
Thanks a bunch

Sorry to hear you are almost as far in arrears as I, Maybe you should make this bracelet a goal...something to reward yourself when you get out of debt...other than that all I can do is wish you luck

siamsa24 -> RE: Cartier Love Bracelet (5/3/2006 9:06:46 PM)

Appreciate it, and best to you as well.

I am simply frustrated at this time.  Working a full-time and a part-time job and still unable to finish school.  I don't really like my jobs (in fact, I really hate the location I am working at now), I just happen to be good at them.

Maybe it would be a good goal, but maybe I should just dream about it for now.
