I work for a payroll service bureau, and we see a lot of really odd names... like Paige Turner, or Michael Jackson, but today I came across one that put a big grin on my face, even as I felt kind of sorry for the guy.

The name?  Slave P....   No joke.  The guy's first name is Slave.  Too cool!   I should change my name to Slave Dee.

That's cool.  Was it a foreign guy?  I've known someone named Slave, with the little accent above the e (pronounced Slahvay), but it's so much more interesting just as slave.

I knew a guy named Harry Johnson. Talk about having a mother with a vision.

My parents used to go to a CPA named Norman Boring.  With a name like that, you're branded ...

We actually did a wedding where a Sarah Payne was marrying Giovanno Vaghina.  (first names I don't remember, so I invented some)

Anyway, it turned out it was referred to as the Vaghina-Payne reception....

A few people found creative ways to pronounce it.  The rest of us just called it that.

Yours,

benji

There is a CPA office near my house. The CPAs? Bacon and Hock. I always wondered if Hock's first name was Hamilton.

I work in retail, and I waited on a Ronald McDonald last week. Smiled every time I thought of it.
