Dear youngsub22, Ladies and Gentlemen; Indeed medical knowledge has increased a lot--seems male issues get most of the attention and, the invention of Viagra is one of them. I am of the thought, of one particular swinger male, that mentioned he had a penis pump as to pump in the needed blood and erection was achieved but, he had to act quickly. It was better than applying popcycle splints to the member or, if a bit longer --chop sticks. Ask him to make an appointment with his doctor to find out. Nothing wrong with finding out, it could be something as simple as depression or any medications he may be on that are decreassing his drive and leading to that. You can always start off with asking how his day was, and expressing that you are concerned for him and would like to talk with him about your concerns. Any reasonable top will listen and address your concerns to put you at ease, especially if its a committed relationship. I know you mention this is a new relationship, but it never hurts to show concern.

It can be controlled and whilst I'm not full bottle with insulin dependent or type 1 diabeties, I am very conversent with type 2 which is both ,medication and dietry controlled. It still in many cases does not do a great deal to help with poor circulation which is one reason that amputations often occure. Obviously bad circulation decreases erections.... Viagra may help on occasions but for us here in Aussie they are something like AU$90 for 4 tablets and in some cases the nitroglycerine tablets or sprays for angina can help also but again expensive..

Quite so old friend. The only time I have a problem in that department is when the back has a rough patch and I have to resort to the stronger pain meds. But as I said earlier, the worst thing you can do is worry about it, plently of fun can be had by all if you just stop worrying about that one single aspect.

And yes, there are some great treatments for it... some take pills, others use injections to attain erection. But, impotence can't always be "cured." Sometimes there's so many things going on, particularly with middle aged and older men, that the standard treatments don't work... i.e. a combination of diabetes, high blood pressure and exposure to agent orange. The key here is to remember that no. 1, there are so many other ways to attain sexual satisfaction besides intercourse. And most men, even if they can't achieve erection, CAN occasionally still reach orgasm.
