And for Valentines day, instead of going out to Dinner, I may ask Daddy to take me to a movie, or make something special at home together:)

Awesome idea! One of things hardest to learn is that food is not a reward!

It is very rewarding and bonding to cook together. find a special recipe in a healthy cookbook to make together.. it's fun! shopping for the ingredients togther, and then preparing, then sharing, it can be a whole day thing...don't forget the strawberries for dessert..;)

I think maybe if it's healthy stuff like that really kinda out of the budget super lean ground beef purchase you can use it as rewards, but overall it's so not good to be food motivated,, specially the types of food most people gravitate too lol.

Woo hoo! Good news. I've been watching what I eat and exercising more. Have lost about 10 pounds so far. Sprung for an elliptical yesterday since my old exercise apparatus broke a few weeks ago.

Well done! Keep working at it - don't give up. It's great to see the pounds drop off, isn't it?

Congratulations, Toppingfrmbottom.  You are doing this mostly through raising your metabolism with exercize?

Excellent news and congrats on the weight loss!  And Winsome, don't ever beat yourself up over losing "only 1 pound."  I've lost 75 now, 1-2 pounds a week, sometimes sliding back up, then going back down, sometimes not losing at all.  Slow and steady is perfectly good.  They key is to stay focused and, rather than beating yourself up or quitting if you indulge now and again, just take a breath and get back on track.  We're all human, after all.
