Knives?

There seems to be as many opinions and feelings about knives as there are people to express them. Love them or hate them?  Is there a neutral?

Being a sadist I thrive on the extremes of feelings. Knives always elicit feelings.

Many ‘submissives’ have begged me to ‘Do what ever pleases you, LadyS, please… use me I want you to use me for your enjoyment.”  Only to turn shocked and distracted when my knives appear.

Of course knives merit a separate negotiation when negotiations are part of the circumstances. But what part of 'Do whatever pleases you" implies a secret list of things You Don't Want Done to you. (often an amusing moment during a scene)

Does anyone care to share some of their experiences – fond memories or nightmares?

People ussualy think i'm joking when I tell them I balk at knife play. The thing is I cant be suprised by them otherwise things get crazy, and not in a good way, its to the point they are almost a limit for me.

I have to know they are coming far in advance, and even then if they even come near my groin...well you better hope I never get free lol.

Knives certainly do elicit a strong response from people; I've never encountered someone who was very "meh" about the subject.

My first experience with knives outside of the kitchen occurred on a first date with a rather charming gentleman who took me back to his place, cut the lights, and held the knife to my throat.  Before that night, I never knew how loud I could scream, how hard I could punch, and how fast I could run.  (The only lasting harm has been to him, I think.  He claims his vision is fuzzy from where I decked him in the eye.  Not that I could see where I was punching, but...)

During scenes, though, when there's definite consent, I love knives.  He's never cut me deeply; just nicked me when the knife was against my throat.  I feel helpless, scared, and thrilled all at the same time.  I admit to having felt nervous the first time he tied me up and pulled out his favourite knife; I love him, I do, but there's this nagging little voice in the back of my head that's screaming "bastard's got a knife!  kick him!  run!"  But I didn't kick him or run, and I wouldn't have, even if I weren't tied up.

And it was beautiful.

Every knifeplay experience since then has sent me into a really incredible headspace.. no bloodletting yet, though.  I'm still a little nervous - and squeamish - about that.

It would depend on who held that knife and what they were doing with it.   I enjoy edge play, the feel of a cold blade against my flesh, but first there has to be trust formed.

Knives, like a few other things to me, may not be limits, but are absolutely something discussed ahead of time.

I have experienced knife play and I love it!

Dangerous, but the funnest things in life are dangerous... playing with neurotoxic snakes... live steel combat... racing... anything that pushes the envelope, but then again, I'm a serious adrenaline junkie...

Well, there's something natural and basic about metal, including a sharp blade made of it.  Then there's the ingrained knowledge that it can hurt you, which adds a bit of fear into the mix.  It's not a huge thing for me, but if I had a knife handy when my girl was tied up, I'd consider stroking it across her skin gently for a while.  :)

Knives. . . . . . .

Oh yeah!!!!!!!

To use them on someone or to have them used on me.  . . . thankfully I am almost finished with work.

Best,

I love knives....and guns too for that matter....but bring either one of them near me in a scene and you do so at the risk of your own life and limb. Can you tell I don't like knife play?

Chaingang -> RE: Knives!? (5/4/2006 4:58:22 AM)

I like a nice Japanese fruit knife.

CrappyDom -> RE: Knives!? (5/4/2006 5:59:47 AM)

There is certainly something hot about knife play.  Starting a with that precious flower all relaxed and then with a careful prick here, a gentle caress there and things begin getting interesting, the blood begins to flow, the petals engorge and slowly more is revealed and the process begins anew as the nectar begins to flow.  Only then does the tip of the blade begin to slip inside at first tentatively and then as the flower continues to open, the blade slowly disappears from view into that now radiant flower.

Yep, something about knife play is just hot.

I love his knives.  I have always had a knife phobia, maybe that is why I am exhillarated by the fear brought about from his use of them - safe fear.  Trembling, shaking, head pulled back, his bowie knife at my throat, knowing my life is in his hands.  The knife runs up the side of my face, slides into my mouth...I have never remained so still in my life!

1969slave -> RE: Knives!? (5/4/2006 7:29:33 AM)

i think i even stop breathing when he gets near my nipples. the only cutting is when he rests the blade between my toes and slowly pulls it back, ita real high.

Rumtiger -> RE: Knives!? (5/4/2006 8:16:18 AM)

Okay...it just turned into a limit.

tangldupinblue -> RE: Knives!? (5/4/2006 8:22:52 AM)

i have always loved knives, i hate being cold and the feel of the steel makes me shake .....alot. but i was just recently introduced to guns, having a gun laying next to my head, opened up whole new worlds for me, now as sick and stupid as i may sound, i want it held to my head during sex.

tangldupinblue:

You want to see a short film called "Fingered" starring Lydia Lunch. Kinda cool.
