Tried clay,the cat just chucks it everywhere, more outside the box than inside, and I am not kidding here.Even tried sand of the beach, but the cat it seems prefers compressed wood chips

It keeps the claws off the furniture and discourages presents being left in closets... first hand knowledge on that subject. Little is worse than pulling on work boots at oh-god-thirty to find kittle left a gift in there. Stefan
