TSA refusal to release body scanner safety reports has many crying foul Two months after lawmakers ordered the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to release safety reports about the levels of radiation being emitted by baggage X-ray machines, naked body scanners, and other airport security equipment, the agency has yet to make this information public. The reports, which remain in the hands of TSA officials, are allegedly being retained to protect “sensitive security or privacy-protected information.”

Should I take this seriously? Oh wait, it comes from 'prisonplanet'. The folks that have stepped in to the role of the former 'World Weekly News' for all things bizarre and weird. Do you even have an ounce of a clue, how much radiation is a 'safe dosase' for humans, pahunk boy? I'll believe the information if it comes from an actual publication that deals with the human body; You know, the MEDICAL COMMUNITY?

You are exposed to a great deal more radiation simply by flying at 30,000 feet.

If you don't want to be exposed, don't fly.

Umm- congress demanded this report- and now is not allowed to see it.   So much for the inquiry.

What, that he doesnt post conspiracy crap all the time? That his information seems to come from legitimate sources and is...*gasp*....factual? Maybe you should get a little more sun there, pahunk; helps during the harsh winters.

What annoys me is the half truths I can detect.  For example, they like to say the view can't see "that much" under the clothing, but they won't let the public view what is being seen by the scanner.  It would be easy to put a flat screen in the machine at eye level so you could judge for yourself.  They also say "the machine" can't record images, but that doesn't prevent a pervert employee from bringing a digital camera, made all the easier since the scanner is alone in a closed room when working.

This is like when Bush was spouting "we know where the WMDs are."  I had to ask myself.  If that's true, the UN inspectors are boots on the ground.  Tell them.  The inspectors don't have to tell when they got their information.  They had only to say "Take us to xxx N latitude  xxx W longitude"

Occam may be dead but we can still use his razor
