""Say an ex-boyfriend who happens to be father of a baby doesn't want to pay child support for the next 18 years, and he beats on his ex-girfriend's abdomen in trying to abort her baby. If she did kill him, it would be justified. She is resisting an effort to murder her unborn child." " Remember what I said about juries ? Not every case is a BIG statement of the People's rebellion to the legislation, an affront to the oppressors, a final stand. This should be a matter of the normal course of life. If the jurers know the facts, even as stupid and childish people are, most of the time they will regroup their minds and render the correct verdict. What I said before applied to unusual circumstances, but it is not nor should it be limited to that. This should be normal in the course of justice, common sense should prevail. ............. That said, I think I'll light up a cigarette. T^T
