Hi there ... not really new to CM, but first time on the forum. Not sure what I'm looking for with RL meetups, but slowly working it out, and also trying to figure out how it should/would fit in with my introversion (which doesn't help). I'm shy, which doesn't help either, so I need to get used to the idea of meeting someone before plans are even on the horizon. I'm not looking for ... um ... a "fluffin', stuffin', thank you Muffin" kinda thing. I'm good with online roleplay and the like, though. So yeah, hi.

Being shy is very typical for many people. One challenge a lot of people have is getting up in front of a group of people and giving a speech. There is no denying that you are going to feel clumsy and awkward but you have to push through it to move forward.

Be sure to pace yourself and move in small steps and don't try to hide that side of your nature. Lots of people find that to be a big plus shy so let them like you for who you are.
