Pretty simple and self-explanatory

I eat a hot belgian waffle (no fruit, no topping) probably once or twice a month at my local diner....

and it's been a GREAT first date.  "wanna go for a waffle?"  So far, not one woman has turned me down! er, turned down the waffle that is....
I must have had about 4 waffle dates last year

I have become hooked on waffles lately. Just a touch of butter and sausage on the side.

Pancakes are horrid.

I do like waffles though. They have to be homemade and not from a mix though. I make wonderful waffles.

waffles are not huge here. i once made batch of homemade chocolate waffle mix and took it to work with my waffle maker. they were all flabbergasted, some were a bit hesitant, but they all thought they were great in the end.

depends on my mood..

when it's waffles though, it's waffles drenched in butter, then peanut butter spread all over, covered by maple syrup..

(damn, now I gotta go buy some Eggos....)

Not a question of or in Germany. Both are no traditional breakfast items here. German pancakes are for lunch or dinner, but American pancakes for breakfast are getting more known, and at least in my house loved.
Waffles are for Sunday afternoons. With hot cherries and cream.

So American pancakes for breakfast, and waffles for afternoon tea/coffee.

Waffles!!

My waffle maker turns out 4 heart shaped waffles! Love those pockets for holding butter and syrup!!

In my Mom's (original Betty Crocker?) cookbook, I remember the legend of some knight accidently sitting in his wifes pancakes and leaving a pattern that she liked. Afterward she asked him do it once in a while. It's probably a myth, but a fun one!

I refuse to vote because you gave to option for both!

Stuffed french toast and pecan pecancakes.

Darn, now I'm hungry.

Kind of a breakfast "turducken"
