I'm new to the site, but not really new to the lifestyle. I'm looking for a LTR with a submissive woman and so far CM has been a fun way to get to know a few people by email. I've gotten a lot of good responses from my profile and from the emails I have sent. I haven't actually met anyone yet, but I've only been at this for a few days.

I've heard that you are supposed to use the boards to broaden your search and I've looked at them, but haven't found any that seem very interesting. Does anyone have any suggestions about where I should go?

Welcome to CM and the boards. Just to let you know, this side is more for conversation. The other side will give you better luck in meeting someone. Although couples have met through the forums, it's been through repeated postings and getting to know each other that way. Good luck in your search, just have to be patient, it's not an overnight thing.

Thanks to everyone who posted.

I just went to a Black Rose event here in DC. There was dinner first and then an educational event on mummification. Well-done, but not my thing. The people there at the Hiatt were very nice and self-described nerds. Kind of a surprise, that. I didn't argue the point. Some were critical of collarme.com because people here are too scared and uncertain of their kinkiness. Too scared to come out to a public event. I wonder what people here think of that assessment.

Interesting take. There are some of us who live in both the online world and the meat world.

Fetlife is better for finding out about local events, but I prefer the community here.
