I get really confused on this whole "repeat a thread" thing. I am aware that there is an administrative announcement from the mods that we should use the search engine & contribute to an existing thread before starting a repeat thread. I have no clue why they have this "rule" except that maybe there is limited space/bandwidth/(whatever the proper geek term is). I try to abide by that rule as much as possible, because I kinda like being here and don't want banned or something. Personally, I feel that having a conversation and exchanging information more than once is never a bad thing, especially if it's with new opinions in the matter, and over time when things could have changed. I don't mind people quoting threads in which a subject has been discussed before. (Like pasting links to previous threads). I've clicked on those links and read over past topics and learned new things. I've also learned new things from seeing new people with new perspectives discuss the same topic before. I do wish though, that when people post links to previous threads, it was consistently done in a manner that says "Here's what some other people thought about this subject when they discussed it last year". It sometimes comes across like "Your thoughts aren't wanted here and we refuse to respond because this question has already been asked before. Next please." (Sorry for highjacking your thread LittleMissy. I didn't want to start a new thread to express that opinion.)

IMO, IMHO, YMMV, AFAIK, to me, I see it as, from my perspective, it's been my experience, I only speak for myself, (and all other disclaimers here).
