There is a better way, just put on your profile that you are owned by FukinTroll, but available for lease. It will cut down on a lot of fake mail... but you will be inundated with "I hate the Troll" mail from the D's.

I happen to agree with the highlighted above.  The worst crap that you'll receive via email (and the most in volume) is going to be during that 'new user' period.  (I can't remember if that status is for one month or two.)  Think of it as being fresh meat and dealing with sharks.  The same sharks that are betting that, since you are new, you're not all that familiar with the reporting system and/or trying to be nice and answer every note that you'll know in a few months isn't worth your time.  They are betting on your inexperience all the way around.

You'll find the forum folks are more willing to treat you like a person, rather than meat.  Enjoy your stay and get to know the mail system.  (Block, delete, report when necessary.)
