I bought a leather whip online, but when I recieved it, it was in bad condition. I know that I can salvage it, but I don't want to mess it up more than what it already is. What should I use and how should I use it?

By the way, Its very dry and stiff. Not necessarily cracked, but it could easily turn that way without the proper care.

do you have any bootblacks in your community? a lot of them are skilled with all kinds of leather care, not just boots.
