I just found out that my internet carrier expanded their broadband service to include Florida... finally. YAY. Looks like I'll be hauling the laptop, heavy as it is. Now if I could just get the stupid thing to play movies...

The drive works for games and other things, but when I put a movie in, it spins forever and then finally stops and says "please insert disk". I've tried a bunch of different movies, I've tried different software... wtf am I doing wrong?

remind me, and I will try to call my former roomie.. she is BRILLIANT when it comes to computer stuff... (she's the only reason I got A+s in my comp sci classes during my brief stint at college)

Bringing mine along, and I haz Hulu, Crackle, Netflix and it plays movies......cause a mutual friend taught me and my laptop how at the same time. I could get a small pair of extra speakers.....And popcorn.....
