yeaaaaaaah... have had intermittent problems for the past few days. try the email-based platform if you really need to get on; it works fine.

It keeps telling me I've entered "incorrect credentials" when they're the same ones I've used every night for years. Grrr.

dcnovice -- i was getting the same thing with stand-alone YIM. =p one time it randomly let me in, but i (mistakenly, i see now) logged out and now it won't even initialize so... the web-based version is what i'm using now. it's annoying, but it'll do in a pinch.

I got rid of it- a few years ago. Too complicated- the settings- which somehow always bumped to need complete reset.

Well, I contacted Yahoo Customer Care, and they're referring my situation to an "abuse specisalst," who cn hopefully figure out what's wrng. I'm worried that he account's been hacked.

Have you tried logging into the yahoo mail page? Try that, if it still doesn't work, it is not messenger itself but the account. If you do get into the mail, try messenger. If you cannot log into messenger uninstall it and reinstall the program from the Yahell homepage.
