I see photos like that and, in my mind, I immediately thank them.

Next!

Seriously, girls. If you do not understand how to contort your face to exhibit the proper wispy, breathy, sultry look shown here and here and here, it's no excuse to do this.

You're a very grumbly fellow indeed, Nihilus. Actually, I found that last one quite cute. She's pretty and looks as though she could be fun to be around. The pic certainly wouldn't be a turn-off for me if it came up next to a profile.

I can be a curtmudgeon, yes. I'm also an aesthetic snob. And sometimes it's evident that people are doing the fish-lips in completely jest, however anyone exhibiting that face in a serious picture strikes me as insufficiently adequate in the intellectual and visual areas I'm probably more of a snob in.

In order to make that face and dare to post it publicly, you have to have yielded to or agreed to the entire sociological demographic that seems to find it appealing, either by peer pressure or by mob-think.

Perhaps if her sole purpose in that shot was to demonstrate her preferred fellatio technique, I might be prone to grant some leniency. But probably not.

Lmao. Unfortunately I have seen many women in that exact same pose. And it simply is not cute. Usually its the bubble gum chicks that think they are hotter than they really are. Are moms not teaching this stuff anymore.

Either that or you just want to pull a silly face for the camera.

i have no idea why fish lips are so popular right now.
people have started toning it down a little bit, but it still looks absolutely idiotic. =p
it's like the ubiquitous "photo in bathroom mirror with flash" picture during the heyday of myspace =p it seems like its's trendy now to have a fish lip picture. =p

I think it's because the aesthetically-ideal female lips are now so fat that they look as though they could break bones. After seeing Angelina Jolie for the first time in a film, I thought, 'Give it a few decades, and a Hollywood starlet's lips will be covering most of her face.'

Please save your retarded fish lips for your next trip to Sea World.

Thank you.

Of course, guys never make THAT face.

Well..the ones who use their head below the waist, somewhat struggle to do such a face with that one

Yes but at least Jolie's lips are real, believe it or not. It's the artificially enhanced ones that always look so obviously fake.  Lisa Rinna anyone?

It's not any particular actress's lips that gets me, nor whether they were like that from birth or were artificially plumped up. It's the aesthetic: what we're told is 'attractive'. Odd. Fatter and fatter fatter, as the decades go on.

apparently Lisa Rinna has had to have lip reduction surgery because the injections were botched causing scarring

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/05/lisa-rinnas-lip-reduction_n_750509.html

I would love to have plumper lips but I've seen too many botched ones like Lisa Rinna's where they just don't turn out the way they should.

i have to say i find the trend towards plump lips ironic, when many of these same people think you're unattractive in part because of your genetically plumper lips.
same with people who wear padded panties =p

Oh I'll fess up. About 3 years ago I had Restalyne injections put in my lips ( a non permanent filler ) and it was a hot mess. Painful as hell, looked ridiculous beyond belief, and everyone knew they were "just done" lips. Thank god it was gone in about 2 to 3 months. I would post a photo but I destroyed any evidence. .

The only bonus was for like 2 weeks the injection sites were so sore that I lost 10 pounds from not eating.

Ouch, that sounds painful. I am happy with my lips.

Lipstick applied perfectly seems to be fine for me. :)

Gawd. even after the corrective op she looks as though she could suck a man's brains out through his mouth.
