At least 29 states want to cut thousands from Medicaid without being penalized. Many of these states want to change the eligibility laws that allow you to qualify for Medicaid. Medicaid Busting States Budgets Any thoughts on what this will mean to thousands if they are cut from the Medicaid rolls?

Wasnt it Arizona who changed their eligibility laws? Resulting in people dying who had been approved for organ transplants?

tazzy, I would not be surprised. The changes that are being proposed are going to effect many people in ways they did not even imagine. Congress has been giving the states extra money for Medicaid, but that is supposed to end July 1, with more people qualifying for medicaid due to the economy, it sounds like something is going to give. Wisconsin govenor Walker said he states 3.6 billion deficit is mainly due to Medicaid costs. tazzy, it is getting serious, I still don't think most people understand what could be coming our way.

I would be interested in knowing exactly which states are considering these measures. But, I can forsee many of the problems. Longer lines at ERs. Increase in thefts, deaths and stolen identities. Its going to be a sad state of affairs. Tax cuts to the wealthy, and increased illnesses and deaths to the poor. Welcome to the US.
