Here is some new info...but maybe I missed someone posting about Sheen being fired from his series today for good....I have never watched the show but I should watch one episode to see if I like it or not.

For the $$ he gets, I have no sympathy.  He can hire a lawyer if he needs to figure it out.

He's mistaken himself for his character.   Which suggests maybe his IQ isn't real close to 3 digits.

I've never seen the show, but have followed this trainwreck the last few weeks.
Might have been said already.. but IMO, he is very Anna Nichole-esque. Hopefully some one intercedes on his behalf before he winds up like her.

it's a pretty standard formula that's really pretty funny - but watch a half dozen episodes, and they're all the same.   It's not something that anybody's going to get awards for, but the show will collapse without Sheen.

Seriously though, I do not get what is hilarious about his show.  Could you explain to me the comedy in it?  To me it just seems like another wannabe Married With Children, only with bachelors and a charismatic kid.
I don't think there's anything complicated about the show.   Besides, if it has to be explained, it usually isn't funny.
I find the extremes between the brothers, to be funny.   It's supposed to reflect the types of neurosis a self centered, *itchy mother can produce, I guess.   I think the show is funny, because it reflects reality.   Certainly, I hope these two do not reflect what most men are like.

This show is funny to me, because it's familiar.    I've known mothers like Marin Hinkle's character;  I've known guys like Charlie Sheen, with money, game, fear of commitment, and abusing whatever to keep up the facade;  I've known guys (very few), like Jon Cryer.   I'll admit I don't know too many kids like  Angus T. Jones, but he had some very funny moments.

It's like this; it was extremely rare, for me to watch "Friends," or "Seinfeld."    Those situations were not really familiar to me, and therefore, not funny at all, to me.
I imagine, a whole lot of people found Two and Half Men funny, like moi, or it wouldn't be so popular, and a cash cow for CBS.    M

Hallucinogens typically aren't used to cure boredom and a significant portion of people who indulge in their use have IQs significantly higher than average.

Insult cocaine and whatnot all you like... but don't lump them together with substances you haven't the slightest idea about.

Charlie's already been through more rehab than anyone else this side of Robert Downey Jnr.

It does make one think about the genetic component of addiction; his dad was an absolute hellraiser in his youth too, but eventually straightened himself out, so don't write Charlie off just yet.

Part of the problem is that, when you have that much money, you can do no wrong; specialists say "oh yes Mr Sheen you have every right to be angry at your treatment, now just sign here and here", as opposed to what they'd say to anyone else, which would be "listen you clueless little asshat; you're making yourself look a prize pillock. Now either shut the fuck up and straighten out, or chew a bullet, coz as it stands you're an irritating little shit-head with all the social grace and charm of an un-flushed bog" :)

BTW I saw Robert Downey Jnr. on “Actor’s Studio” last night ... I absolutely adore the guy’s acting, but was shocked to find out that it was his own parents who first introduced him to drugs, at a very early age (like 8 or 9 years old) – they were somewhat “alternative”, to put it mildly (plus of course a lot of people viewed drugs differently back then). I wonder if Charlie had a similar experience, in terms of viewing his father’s alcoholism first-hand, at a young age, and maybe experimenting?

Me to, funny damn movie

It's pretty much impossible to take seriously, to be honest. All of this shit about it being the best horror movie ever is nonsense: there's one oaf of a film critic over here who's convinced that it's the finest film ever made, which does beg the question of how the hell somebody that wrongheaded still manages to get work as a reviewer and journalist. It isn't even the best William Friedkin film, for God's sake: The French Connection is loads better...

Actually, he kinda reminds me of you when you get rolling on one of your rolls, Sanity.  He even resembles you (slightly)
