No, I'm just incredibly contemptuous of people who call themselves "Doms" who dont even do their own thinking. They're just a bitch for whatever pundit (Right OR Left wing) they decide to follow.

Sanity -> RE: The GOP's Ten Commandments (3/2/2011 8:19:54 PM)

Not by a long shot. Ive found that if I fail to properly pull my punches the owners of this website dont let me post for a little while.

I believe they like a little bit of devilishness though [sm=evil.gif]

Hillwilliam -> RE: The GOP's Ten Commandments (3/2/2011 8:22:06 PM)

Monica.

Look at the sexual harrassment laws and it is clear. While peers can have relationships, superiors and inferiors cannot. This becasue you will never know if it was coerced, and findings, that secretaries who put out made more money. This has been part of the law for a long time, but only enforced when it is convenient. It almost unequivocably constitutes rape, under your law. Look it up.

Also see professors with their students for some additional information. Sexual relations in that situation are "wrong" just because of the power inequality. Now you have what most sheeple consider the highest office on the planet, and an uneducated (up to then) intern. Thus, Clinton was a rapist under the law.

I've seen some daft bullshit posted in here, but I think you've raised the stakes a lot with that argument, effendi.

Actually, he supposedly assaulted a lady while he was running for Governor of Arkansas.

Juanita Broaddrick, in 1997, alleged that back in 78 Clinton had assaulted her but she recanted when the FBI interviewed her.

Moonhead -> RE: The GOP's Ten Commandments (3/3/2011 5:27:32 AM)

I suspect that claim was insubstantial: if there had been anything substantial to it, Starr would have been onto that like a jack russell humping somebody's leg...

That's absolute nonsense Term.

There is absolutely no legal definition of rape based on that.

You could make an argument for sexual harassment, but it seems she was a more than willing participant, so even that won't fly.

And he also supposedly had 50 of his political enemies killed.

Remember that one?

mnottertail -> RE: The GOP's Ten Commandments (3/3/2011 6:32:30 AM)

As a voice of reason amidst the turmoil here, I would like to point out that I have absolutely shredded the US Constitution and nowhere within do I see any prohibition that the POTUS may not be a convicted rapist.   So, I hope this doesn't devolve to the birth certificate opera bouffe again.

Me; otter?  If so, I must confess I cannot recall exchanging such pleasantries with you....

I'll be damned.

Hillwilliam -> RE: The GOP's Ten Commandments (3/3/2011 8:18:25 AM)

yeah you dammit. On the affirmative action is racist board.

I got properly modspanked after finding out that "dookie motherfucker" is acceptable but "fuckwit" isnt.

mnottertail -> RE: The GOP's Ten Commandments (3/3/2011 8:23:44 AM)

The word is Dukie or dukie (as in John Wayne-like).  Wow, it must have been grabbed immediately, cuz I didn't see it, or; well to be frank, I sort of tire of the same go 'round and 'round here, and just don't revisit some threads.....I lose interest.

Hillwilliam -> RE: The GOP's Ten Commandments (3/3/2011 8:25:02 AM)

*laffin*

It was snagged pretty quickly.

mnottertail -> RE: The GOP's Ten Commandments (3/3/2011 8:28:58 AM)

If it is any consolation to you, I forgive your trespass, even if the administration doesn't.

As further proof of my empathy, I would tell you that Sanity, FirmHandKY, TheHeretic, and myself have collectively got the shit knocked out of us by the administration longer than the war has been going on in Iraq.

C'est la guerre.

Hillwilliam -> RE: The GOP's Ten Commandments (3/3/2011 8:35:42 AM)

Ok, so I'm in tha club then.

RML has already explained that this particular horse of yours is a butterfly in post 30, matey.

If you're going to start bandying legalisms about, though, perhaps you could start with a legal definition of what constitutes "rape". I know you Americans have a legal system that would make a dog laugh, but I doubt your argument has any substance even under that system.

Tell you what: instead of challenging people to look it up, because you can't be bothered to find a law code or a legal precedent that equates sexual harassment with a workplace inferior and rape, find some evidence. While you're at it, you could find some proof that secretaries who don't put out are unemployable as well.
