Please. No misunderstandings. I think this is a very bad and dangerous thing. I just find it a little teensy bit funnier than hell. California woman survives 35-mile ride on van's hood quote: MANTECA, Calif. - The woman desperately gripped a windshield wiper blade, her body splayed across the hood of the minivan as it raced down a Northern California freeway in the middle of the night, reaching 100 mph, witnesses said. With the temperature hovering in the low 30s, Christopher Michael Carroll drove 35 miles from Manteca to nearby Pleasanton on Saturday with his wife clinging to the hood, prompting 911 calls from at least two alarmed witnesses, police said. I've had a drama-queen ex pull this 'jumping on the car' thing. I guess this druggie decided to show her who the really crazy one was. (Hint: set the brake, get out, pour a 32 oz paper bucket of icy soda on her, hit the car wash on the way home. It straightens them right up) There are moments when the drama won't let you just walk away.

Jumping onto the hood of a car, when someone is in it getting ready to drive away, is pretty damn stupid. Driving 30+miles with someone on the hood of the car is ... beyond stupid and right up in the realm of stupendously insane. My husband jumped up onto the hood of the car once (like 20 years ago), when I was trying to get away from hiim during a fight. I kept driving. All the way to the end of our driveway. I swear I wanted very badly, at the time, to plow him into a solid concrete wall. I didn't. There are just some things you don't do, no matter how angry or scared or whatever. Even if you have murder in your heart, there should always be a voice of reason that says 'fuck em, I'm not going to prison for that crazy bazturd. Obviously, this guys voice of reason was mute.

That is funny... Not really for the unwell person, but you have to laugh, seeing that. I didn't even know it was possible, to remain holding on to a hood for so long, and at such a speed, without flying off. That driver was braver than I; I'd driven her to the police station, and gotten them to get the jerk off my car. I don't really understand why they arrested him, and not her?! Am I the only one who thinks she was trying to get killed, but didn't want to do it herself?! I've had a dude flop out of my slow moving car, I don't know for what effect, since I was going too slow, and didn't even scrape self. Stopped wishing for someone who's crazy about me after that. [8D] M

And yesterday, the husband tried to plead guilty to an attempted murder charge, and the judge wouldn't accept the plea.......WTF????? Once again, the legal system at it's best. He's still in jail, and she was treated for hypothermia. Personally, I think she's an idiot for grabbing on to the car in the first place. My only hope is that they aren't breeding......cuz you know they're gonna kiss and make up!

Rich you are a sick bunny, however I have to agree. Both dumb as rocks...35 miles??? did she have suckers on her hands or sumfin? Im not into domestsic abuse male or female led, but this is cringeworthy

Steven, I think he clearly has shown a history of being crazy (on or off drugs); but, what would you do, if some psycho jumped on your windshield, and refused to get off? I know, you wouldn't drive off... My point is, he was trying to leave the scene of a verbal fight, probably to avoid a physical one. With his history, and probably being high, he was in no position to call the cops. He sounds pretty unstable, and no semi-sane woman would EVER run after him, never mind jump on the hood of a car he was trying to get away from her with. It's nice that you guys think he's guilty because he has a history, but you must remember, that women sometimes don't get arrested, precisely because they are women. I've known a few men who've gotten smacked by women, but if they did likewise, would be in jail, before you could say "New York minute." M
