Greetings and Salutations. [:D] I recently divorced after 12 years. [:(] In hind sight, while I had always considered myself the plain vanilla couple, I recognize that such was not the case. I have always had a dominate personality though not oppressive. I had incorrectly assumed that all couples experienced the same stero-typical arrangment: dominate male and submissive female. I believe that the problems began to arise as my then wife became more dominate towards other people (ok with me) and then less submissive toward me (workable but less ok). Like the flood waters rushing over the dam, her personality began to act as if I should submit to her. I recognize some give and take in the play arena, but found it very difficult for me to switch roles on an everyday basis. I believe that our relationship broke down as both of us were unable to override each dominate personality.[&:]
Now having explored a number of alt sites and channels, I see that I have always lived an alt lifestyle without calling it such. I was quite surprised at the physical arousal that I am experiencing just in reading some of the descriptions in the personals. My body seems to understand more about me than I do. [8|] Next step: find some playmates to explore this further. I have located two groups that hold local munches, so I will attend and meet others that already know what I am just learning.
