I am currently reading an awesome series, the Lantis Sagas. I finished book one in the middle of the night, The Lost Emperor, and I was so freakin caught up I had to run and get book two, The Sisters Kalawyn.

They are an epic tale along the lines of The Lord of the Rings, only better fleshed out with raw pounding emotion and extremely intricate detail like the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant.

A friend turned me on to the writer, some dude named Wulfgar. I've been to the website World of Wulfgar and it looks like there is more of them coming, I hope so because I've only got the first four. I'd hate to get as pissed as I was with Stephen King over the Gunslinger books, come on, nine years for the next book.

All I can say is you've got to read these, if nothing else the sex scenes are simply one handed reading good, as the stories progress you get into this whole Klashaan slave thing too, hot, hot, hot.........

Short answer: about everything I can get my hands on.

Long answer:
-a stack of history and theory of literature books as well as Das Fräulein von Scuderi (Mademoiselle de Scuderi) by E. T. A. Hoffmann for University
-Stieg Larrsons Millennium series for fun
-rereading The Peace War by Vernor Vinge in bed, because if I read a new book there I will get no sleep
-and in my bag The Complete Zombie Survival guide by Max Brooks, as it is perfect for reading on the go.

I have not only a card for my local library, I also own cards from 3 University libraries.

Finishing up rereading The Shelters of Stone by Jean Auel, in anticipation of her new one coming out this month. It's only taken her 30 years to finish the series and I'll be sad to see this last one, but can hardly wait for it either.

I just got a copy of the ARC for The Land of Painted Caves.  It's freakin huge!  I can't wait to read it.

Currently reading Acheron by Sherilynn Kenyon.  Also have Jonathan Kellerman's Compulsion going.  About 5 book left before I haz to head back to the library.  Usually about 20 books at a time, 3 wks, and they're back after less than 2 weeks.  Finished the latest J.R. Ward "Fallen Angel" series as well as her "Black Dagger Brotherhood".  Oops, can't forget the latest Lee Child or Dave Barry.

And I love anything by Richard Marcinko, his books are hilarious and based on his own adventures as as Navy Seal.  They've tried to muzzle him, but it hasn't worked, thank the rubber duckies.

I just finished The Sisters Kelawyn by Wulfgar, and it was so awesome, real unexpected twist there at the end. Going to start on Uller The Shyne now, so far I can say I am seriously hooked. As I am reading all these killer characters pop up then I am left wanting to go grab their books andd cheat. It is like being sucked into an endless ongoing multiverse of fantasy.

Yup, he has to be, but there's always the hot tub to fall back on and the gin.  And we wouldn't get the vocabulary knowledge he so delightedly provides us with.
